My Practice
I solve visual communication problems by using the fundamental tools of typography, hierarchy, layout, visual research, and user experience. I’m particularly skilled at designing visual identity systems to unify a brand’s messaging and connect with the right audience at the right time.
What I've Done
I've worked as a graphic designer and creative advisor for a variety of brands. Most recently, I've been working with Money Management Institute, a trade organization dedicated to connecting professionals and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the financial services industry. I've helped improve their visual communication through designing a large variety of visual assets, including brochures, promotions for sponsorships, signage and wayfinding for events, digital assets for their website, visual identities for sub-brands, and much more.
In 2022, I completed an M.A. in Graphic Design at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where I specialized in visual identity system design. In particular, I focused on developing branding systems for businesses, events, and museum exhibitions. My projects Misfit Kava Bar and The Dog Who Swallows Millions were both selected as finalists in AIGA Flux, a nationwide design competition hosted by AIGA Baltimore.
I've also freelanced as a visual identity designer for companies such as Maryland-based TLC Training & Fitness and NYC record label Ball Team Records, designing their logos and brand identity guidelines. In 2021-22, as a creative consultant at Massachusetts-based audio manufacturer Andover Audio, I helped art direct a number of social ad campaigns that resulted in over 100% sales growth.
